Originating on the bank of river Krishna, it holds a special position in Hindu mythology and is a sacred place of worship for many Hindus. The landscape of Vijayawada is dotted with historical temples, artistic caves and museums. It is also home to the best corporate education systems in India.

The topography of Vijayawada is flat with few ranges of low and medium sized hills. The climate here is just as unvarying with hot summers and moderate winters. The temperature can rise up to 40 degree celsius during April-May. It receives moderate rainfall from June to October, when the city becomes fresh and exotic. November to February is the best time to visit as the weather is pleasant and dry, perfect for sightseeing. Vijayawada flights are plenty in number and find their entrance through the Vijayawada Airport, situated at a distance of 20 kilometers from the city.
